A Second Floria Quilt, inspired by the beauty of West Texas
Two years ago, we went to Big Bend National Park over the Christmas holiday, and were fascinated by the purple prickly pear cactus. While we are native Texans and no strangers to prickly pear, we had never seen this species (Opuntia macrocentra) until our trip to Big Bend.
They were so beautiful, I used them as a quilty inspiration for my second Floria quilt. I pulled several black and white prints, with a single magenta fabric. The fabrics are:

The desert is so beautiful this time of year. And cold! It got down to 17 degrees one of the nights we were there!
